GEORGE LEAVITT BOOTH March 26, 1932 – August 3, 2021

[Note: George and his father, Levitt Booth, built Crescent Park subdivision from the ground up. So sad to lose his legacy!]

George L. Booth, age 89, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021, of natural causes. He was residing at The Arbors of San Marino, assisted living, in Westminster, Colorado. Although he had been experiencing the natural decline that comes with age, his death was unexpected and saddens the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. He lived his childhood years on the family ranch in Coal Creek Canyon and his teen years at the family’s home just west of Arvada, Colorado, where he graduated from Arvada High School. Following high school, he served 2 years active duty in the U.S. Army and another 6 years in the Army Reserves. George built his home and raised his family in Coal Creek Canyon, where he worked along side his father on the family ranch and timber/logging business. He also worked for Boulder County Road Maintenance and ran his own heavy equipment business. He was well known in the Coal Creek Canyon region, the Front Range Livestock Association, and Golden Gate Grange. As he had a keen interest in the history of the Golden-Coal Creek- Arvada area, he was a longtime member of The Arvada Historical Society.
