Crescent Park Slash Event

The 2025 Crescent Park slash event is September 27 & 28. If you have not already done so, please use the links below to register your property if you wish to have slash picked up. As of this writing, there are 17 slots remaining. Also, please consider volunteering to assist with swamping (delivering slash to our team members to feed the chipper).

If you have registered, you will receive an email prior to the event with the day and approximate time that your property will be done. For those who have signed up to volunteer, we will contact you ahead of the event with confirmation of your participation, date and time slot.

Crescent Park Neighbors, 

The annual slash event sponsored by your Crescent Park Community Fire Protection Association is scheduled for September 27 & 28, 2025. Details: 

• Registration is required (if your property is not registered, slash will not be picked up and processed). Click here to register Registration: Crescent Park Slash Pickup Sep. 27 - 28. We have the capacity to service 36 properties; registration will close when the schedule is full. You will be notified by email of the date and approximate time your slash will be processed. Slash should be: 

  • placed near the road in front of your property,  

  • be less than 4 inches in diameter,   

  • placed so that ends are pointed toward the road, No dirt/rocks, pine needles, pine cones or anything with a root ball – NO STUMPS! I  

• There will be a charge of $10 for every 5 minutes of chipper time. (For planning purposes, the chipper can process  approximately 3 yards in 15 minutes.) Payment by cash or check will be collected on the day slash is processed. 

Only our trained team members will feed the slash into the chipper, however we do ask that homeowners assist in the process by swamping (handing branches to the feeders). Click here to select the times you are available. Volunteer Swamper: Crescent Park Slash Pickup Sep 27 - 28. We will do our best to match your volunteer time request with the time your slash is scheduled. 

There will be a chipper safety orientation at 8:30AM both days, work to begin at 9:00AM.  We will operate 3 shifts per day over the 2-day period: 

    9:00AM-11:00AM 

    11:00AM-1:00PM 

    1:00PM-3:00PM 

This is a wonderful opportunity for you to have your slash processed conveniently and economically. The Crescent Park Community Fire Protection Association is a completely volunteer organization. Your donations – be it your time or funds to support our efforts – are greatly appreciated.
